Abuse


Having learnt what depression is, explosure to abuse has been consistently shown to increase the odds of depression. Physical, emotional and sexual abuse are all related to an elevated risk of depression and anxiety disorders in adulthood.

I believe when being abused the chances of dodging depression are very slim....What are your views dear readers?

  1. You are right, abuse usually lead to depression and what's saddening about it is that people don't talk when they are experiencing such. It normally leafy to suicide for such individuals, or death for those physically abused

  4. The effects of abuse run deep and depression is a way to cope with the different emotions and trauma a person goes after and during the abuse...
    Slipping into their mental safe place is a very comforting feeling...

  5. Well when we don't report the abuse, we end up being depressed because we think about all the negative things that have happened to us that we consider as abuse

  14. Absolutely! The best we can do is to be open and talk about whatever we are going through in our lives, that can help relieve stress and move towards resolution. When talking we might even get help to dodge being abused
